Commercial Insurance Producer


Position Overview

BST Insurance Brokers Ltd is a well established Insurance Brokerage in Durham, Ontario.  We are committed to providing personalized insurance products and risk management services to our valued and prospective clients. As our organization continues to thrive and grow, we are currently seeking a first class Commercial Lines Sales Professional to join our dynamic Sales Team.  This role requires a strong team player who is responsible for prospecting, soliciting, quoting and selling new commercial and personal accounts while balancing both sales and service at a high level. We offer a casual working environment and competitive compensation model.  The ideal candidate must have strong business development skills and sales experience. The entrepreneur we seek, must be ready to develop a new book of business however, existing books of business are welcome for consideration.


  • Active RIBO licensed (Potential to educate provided candidate has Strong Sales Experience)
  • Maintain and Exceed New Business Sales & Retention Targets
  • Resilient problem solver who can overcome sales objections
  • Relationship builder with the ability to identify the decision maker and earn trust
  • Ability to Network and promote Lead Generation
  • Enjoy working independently but are also comfortable with a team based environment
  • Experience working with small/mid-sized Commercial & Personal Lines products
  • 2+ years successful insurance sales experience or 5+ years sole sales experience
  • Respond to company and/or client concerns/inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  •  Ability to fully complete all applicable paperwork online with accuracy upon closing sale
  •  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  •  Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively with a sense of urgency
